Room 205, Seeking Him

Celebrate the Journey

There was a moment on Friday when I began tearing up as I observed my babies during our discussion. Their interaction with one another gave me chills – it wasn’t just the amount of civility they afforded one another, but it was also their openness to participate and respond to their peer leader. With all the ugly in this world, I’m so happy to be a part of something beautiful.

I’m also incredibly grateful that I’m not jaded when it comes to my students or the educational process, even though there is so much negative surrounding the field. This just solidifies what I’ve always known to be true: I was designed to be a teacher.

My hope is that we begin to hear more about the successes that all too often get overshadowed by the “failures” regarding the state of education.
